Autism Acceptance Month at SeaWorld

April 5, 2023
April is Autism Acceptance Month. SeaWorld Orlando has some special offerings to celebrate this special month.
April is Autism Acceptance Month, and there’s no better place to spend it than at SeaWorld Orlando! SeaWorld Orlando offers one of the only Certified Autism Center™ at Sesame Street Land™, accommodating children and families with special needs.

Julia Meet and Greet at SeaWorld Orlando
This month, head on over to Sesame Street Land and spend time with Julia! She’s an amazing 4-year-old with autism who shows kids that we’re all a little different but share in the same joy of play and friendship. Julia is hosting special meet and greets with guests daily, so check the park schedule and head on over to Sesame Street Land to begin making memories with Julia!

At Sesame Street Land, experience some fun filled attractions like the Sunny Day Carousel, as well as the award-winning Sesame Street Party Parade and see all your furry friends like Elmo, Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, and more! This is a parade that will have the whole family dancing and smiling! Because Sesame Street Land is a Certified Autism Center™, you can find sensory guidelines on all attractions and offerings in Sesame Street Land.

If you’re looking to step away, my favorite parts of the park are areas that offer beautiful, quiet, low sensory settings. Sesame Street Land offers a quiet room located inside the Child Care Facility that has features and seating for guests needing a break. The Quiet Room has a vacant/occupied feature to ensure privacy for our guests. Guests who would like to use a Quiet Room may do so on a first come, first served basis.

SeaWorld Orlando has many more resources for those with Autism and other special needs- simply find the nearest ambassador and they will be happy to provide help and direction.
