The recent solar eclipse gave us a unique chance to study our SeaWorld San Antonio Park's animal residents' reactions. Teaming up with experts from Saint Mary’s University, we made early observations of their behavior, part of an ongoing study. Our findings showed intriguing nighttime behaviors among various species like early bedtime for cetaceans, Aldabra Giant Tortoises engaged in unusual mating rituals, pinnipeds grew quieter, and flamingos gathered together, mimicking nighttime habits. These insights offer a captivating glimpse into how animals perceive and react to solar eclipses. As we delve deeper, we anticipate uncovering more about their fascinating responses to rare celestial events.
