Ray Rush Coming to Aquatica in 2018October 11, 2017
This just in, a brand-new family raft slide is splashing into Aquatica, SeaWorld's Waterpark in spring 2018!
Ray Rush is going to be a fully-loaded water adventure which will combine three unique slide elements, never before seen at Aquatica, into one action-packed attraction the entire family can enjoy together.
At nearly 60 feet tall, Ray Rush is where family and friends can take on three-in-one thrills as they slide, splash and soar like never before!
- First, hold on tight as you and your friends are launched at 33 feet per second with water jets designed to propel your raft into the first of several enclosed tube sections.
- Next, you and your fellow riders will swirl into a colossal translucent sphere which spins the raft around the slide walls before entering another enclosed tube section.
- Finally, as soon as you think it's all over, your raft drops into an open-air half-pipe that resembles the shape of a manta ray. Your raft will soar back and forth on the wings of the manta before entering the final enclosed tube section that ends with a splash!
Like we said earlier, one of the coolest things about this new slide is you will be able to ride with your friends and family. You only have to be 42" to ride Ray Rush and it will accommodate up to four riders per raft. Talk about squad goals, right?
All good things must come to an end and in order to make way for the new attraction, HooRoo Run will close permanently on October 31, 2017. To get construction started, Walhalla Wave will temporarily close on this date and re-open in spring 2018 alongside Ray Rush. For the rest of October, we will be offering Aquatica Pass Members a special opportunity to ride one last time.
On that note, it's time for you to assemble your squad and get ready to turn up the fun at Aquatica in 2018!
We cannot wait to tell you more! Be sure to like Aquatica Orlando on facebook and follow the SeaWorld Blog for the latest news and construction updates. Follow the #RayRush conversation using #SplashSquad2018.
