Mystical Mermaids at Spooktacular
Mer-Boys and Mer-Girls alike will be amazed by all of our mythical sea creatures at Spooktacular this year. As families trick-or-treat their way around the park, they will find themselves in the realm of our spooky sirens at Mermaid Grotto. My son was so excited to meet the under-water princesses. I was able to capture the moment with one of the photo packages. He was happy as he got a light-up sword to defend the sea kingdom. You can choose the photo package that is best for your little one and all packages include a fun keepsake like a tiara, plush or a nautical necklace.
Our family also got to open an oyster and find our very own pearl. We learned each oyster contains an Akoya pearl from the south seas of Japan, and come in a variety of colors.
Did you know? Mermaids are creatures of folklore from across the seven seas. Some of these legends are even inspired by manatees and other mysterious sea creatures. Want to see some manatees for yourself? After visiting the mermaids at Mermaid Grotto, head over to the SeaWorld Manatee Rehabilitation Center and see the work SeaWorld is doing to help manatee populations in the wild. This is a must for our family.
