Infinity Falls Basecamp Diaries 02

June 26, 2018
Follow the S.E.A. Collective River Team from the Infinity Falls Basecamp to learn more about what adventures await for you this summer at SeaWorld Orlando.

Hey Explorers!

My name is Chase Alvarez and I am a member of the S.E.A. Collective River Team reporting from the Infinity Falls Basecamp. Today, we had a chance to check out some of the unique animal experiences you might encounter when you visit the Infinity Falls Basecamp at SeaWorld Orlando this summer. Here they are!

1. Caribbean Flamingos
Now, I know I have said that these rivers are treacherous, but the head of the river is actually quite serene. Every Infinity Falls river expedition will pass by a flamboyance of beautiful Caribbean flamingos born right here at SeaWorld Orlando. These guys love standing in shallow water and can filter out food from all sorts of environments with their spiny, piston-like tongues and curved bills. Do you know why they stand on one leg? Because they would fall if they lifted up both legs! That's right… I've got jokes.

2. SeaWorld's Animal Ambassador Team
Throughout the day, SeaWorld’s Animal Ambassadors will be making appearances on the basecamp to share their stories of rescue and conservation. If you're lucky, you might encounter one of their surprise animal presentations with some of the rescued and exotic animals they have the joy and privilege of caring for every day. Some of these animals are native to South America, like Mr. Green, a Green aracari you might discover in the lowland forests of northeastern South America.

3. Animal Ambassador Tour
For the ultimate in-depth look at what our Animal Ambassador team does on a daily basis, check out SeaWorld's new Animal Ambassadors Up-Close Tour. This exclusive experience will take you behind-the-scenes to meet SeaWorld's keepers and a variety of the exotic and rescued animals in their care. You will also have the opportunity to hear some of the most amazing rescue stories, like Moonbeam's, a pet Green iguana who was found in a community playground, injured and malnourished. You might also get a few really cool selfie opportunities! Selfie-tunities?
