Top 5 things to do on a field trip to SeaWorld
As you and your students gear up for another year of learning, growing and making memories, the thought of fun (and educational) field trips is already on everyone’s minds. After watching thousands of students and teachers embark on their field trip experience, I want you to know that SeaWorld Orlando is the perfect place to bring that eager class full of thrill and adventure seekers and here are the 5 reasons why.
- There is a separate educational group entrance just for field trip participants! Don’t worry about shuffling your group of students through the main guest entrance. Instead, your busses can pull right up to the gate and get access to the park and fun a lot faster!
- Did you know that SeaWorld Orlando has a special presentation with our killer whale family that’s designed just for field trips? Ocean Discovery at Shamu Stadium is an interactive, exciting, and educational show that features our Shamu family, animal trainers and an education host. Throughout the presentation, students will learn key facts about the majestic Orcinus orca and have the opportunity to be soaked in the splash zone!
- How does a day off from lesson plans sound? The SeaWorld Orlando Education Team has put together special curriculum with STEM initiatives that can meet any grades level of learning. It can all be found at www.SeaWorldOrlando.com/Education. The fun doesn’t stop there! Check out the pre and post visit activities for your students to continue learning about the animals and find activities to complete at the different animal exhibits during your day in the park!
- For those tougher student questions and more in-depth learning, a SeaWorld Educator can be found at many of the animal exhibits. They are a wealth of knowledge and usually have fun bio-facts that students can touch and interact with to enhance the learning and fun!
- As a part of your field trip program, you and your students will have full access to SeaWorld Orlando’s park, shows, animal exhibits and rides! Spend the day roaming the park and being able to ride some of Orlando’s best roller coasters, while also seeing educational and entertaining shows and attractions. While exploring the park, students will have the opportunity to come face to face with some of their favorite animals and learn more about conservation efforts and initiatives.
A field trip at SeaWorld is unlike any other field trip experience. The connection made between your students and the animals is one that will stick with them forever. It has the potential to inspire the next generation of scientists, researchers, marine biologists, animal trainers and conservationists. Seeing students and teachers having fun in the park and learning from incredible animals is a memory that I will hold with me forever. Have a fin-tastic school year and I hope to see you and your students at SeaWorld Orlando soon!
