SeaWorld Orlando Welcomes Orphaned Pacific Walrus Calf to New Home
SeaWorld Orlando is excited to welcome Uki, a rare rescued Pacific walrus calf from the Alaska SeaLife Center (ASLC), who is now under the expert care of the park's renowned animal specialists. Found orphaned on the beaches of Utqiagvik, Alaska, Uki, meaning “Survivor” in the Inuit language, was discovered by subsistence hunters in July 2024 after her walrus herd had left. Vulnerable and dehydrated, she was transported to ASLC for immediate medical care, and teams from across the country, including SeaWorld, mobilized to support her round-the-clock rehabilitation. Although she won’t be introduced to public habitats right away, Uki is receiving 24/7 attention to ensure a smooth transition. Her rescue story highlights the importance of global collaboration in marine mammal conservation, and as she grows stronger, Uki will serve as an ambassador for her species, raising awareness about the challenges Pacific walruses face in the wild. Thank you, Pass Members, for you continued support of SeaWorld’s mission. You can feel good knowing you're helping to support our animal rescue efforts, with over 41,000 and counting.

Sleepovers at SeaWorld Orlando have returned starting Fall 2024
You and your group are invited to experience an exciting night of exploration, discovery, wonder, and education on a SeaWorld Orlando sleepover. Led by our team of animal experts, your group will dive right into adventure as they tour SeaWorld’s animal habitats after hours. Students will spend their evening (and following morning) experiencing immersive animal habitats that showcase animals from around the world, participating in interactive activities that reinforce key learning objects, and speaking directly with an Animal Care Specialist to learn more about how we care for our animals.

Opportunity to have your picture taken while touching dolphins. Learn how our animal team takes care of these amazing mammals. The total experience lasts about 15 minutes with an approximately 3–5-minute dolphin interaction. Admission to SeaWorld is required and not included. Guests under 3 years of age are free and do not require a reservation. All guests under 13 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult. Groups will be combined for program of about 10 guests.
