SeaWorld Pass Members Participate in Beach Cleanup

Pass Members recently participated in a beach cleanup in honor of International Coastal Cleanup Day.

In honor of International Coastal Cleanup Day on September 21st, over 230 SeaWorld Pass Member Volunteers came together for the 7th annual SeaWorld Pass Member Beach Cleanup at Lori Wilson Park at Cocoa Beach.

In just two hours' time and covering 13.9 miles of beach, groups of volunteers collected bags full of items from the beach, totaling over 200 pounds. The top 7 items collected were:

 

  • 46 Grocery Bags
  • 115 Food Wrappers
  • 124 Straws
  • 286 Plastic Bottles
  • 309 Cigarette Butts
  • 485 Plastic Bottle Caps
  • 4,622 Plastic Pieces
