Orlando’s most terrifying Halloween event is back and more bone-chilling than ever. Now in its 5th year, Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando unleashes a new wave of screams with unexpected horrors lurking around every corner. This separately ticketed event is built for the brave, featuring spine-tingling scare zones, menacing haunted houses, and heart-pounding thrill rides in the dark.

This event is designed for mature audiences and contains intense adult themes including blood, gore, and violence. Costumes are not permitted.

What is Howl-O-Scream?

Howl-O-Scream is a yearly Halloween fright fest and Orlando’s Best Halloween Event, held at SeaWorld Orlando. This adult-targeted event transforms SeaWorld Orlando into a late-night party with haunted houses, scare zones, rides, bars, and live shows. This event requires an admission ticket separate from daytime admission to SeaWorld Orlando. Daytime admission to SeaWorld Orlando is not included nor required.

What time does Howl-O-Scream start in Orlando?

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando starts at 7:00 p.m.

When does Howl-O-Scream take place at SeaWorld Orlando?

Howl-O-Scream takes place during select nights, September 5 - November 1, 2025, at SeaWorld Orlando.

What is Howl-O-Scream?

Is Howl-O-Scream Orlando suitable for children?

Howl-O-Scream Orlando contains intense adult content such as violence, gore, blood, and risqué content that is not intended for children.

Are kids allowed into Howl-O-Scream Orlando?

While this event is intended for adults only, children under 18 will be admitted to the event. There is no discounted rate for children.

Will the rides and attractions be open?

Yes, some of SeaWorld Orlando’s most popular rides will be open during Howl-O-Scream Orlando, including Ice Breaker, Mako, Pipeline: The Surf Coaster, and Infinity Falls. Attractions will operate weather permitting.

Can I wear a costume to Howl-O-Scream Orlando?

No, for the safety of our costumed performers and other visitors to the event, guests in costumes will not be permitted.

Where do you enter Howl-O-Scream Orlando?

A dedicated Howl-O-Scream entrance has been built for this event and is located to the right of the main entrance. Guests already inside SeaWorld with evening Howl-O-Scream tickets may enter through a specific part of the park, to be determined.

Will there be an area to wait in the park as it transitions to Howl-O-Scream?

Yes. Guests in the park during daytime hours will be able to go to the Waterfront, where we will have a “holding area” that will allow you to enter Howl-O-Scream within the park.

Can you leave Howl-O-Scream Orlando and re-enter later that evening?

No, re-entry to Howl-O-Scream is prohibited.

If I purchase All-Day Dining Deal during the day, is it valid during Howl-O-Scream?

No. All food and beverages are purchased a la carte. Restaurants are open until 11:30 P.M.

If I purchase Quick Queue Unlimited during the day, is it valid during Howl-O-Scream?

No. You may wish to purchase a Fear Pass for skip the line access to our five haunted houses. You can add attractions and reserved seating to Monster Stomp by purchasing a Fear Pass Extreme.

Does my Annual Pass allow me admission to Howl-O-Scream?

Howl-O-Scream is a separately ticketed event. Annual Pass Members receive a discount on Howl-O-Scream tickets. Login to the Pass Member Portal to purchase with a discount starting on May 12.

What is the baggage policy for Howl-O-Scream Orlando?

Bags measuring larger than 8"x5", including purses and backpacks, are NOT permitted through the Howl-O-Scream entrance. Exceptions to this policy may be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. Any item required for medical reasons that will be screened is to be carried in a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag not to exceed the size of 12"x6"x12". Guests arriving with a bag not meeting those standards will be asked to return to their vehicle.

What is the camera policy for Howl-O-Scream Orlando?

For the safety of our performers and other guests, flash photography is not permitted at Howl-O-Scream, filming inside of our haunted houses and scare zones is permitted, if no external lighting or accessories are used.

What happens if it rains? Will I get a rain ticket?

Howl O Scream is a separately ticketed, rain or shine event. If your visit is severely impacted by weather, please visit https://seaworld.com/orlando/help/inclement-weather-policy/ to fill out the request for a return ticket.

Can I walk through Howl-O-Scream without getting scared?

Yes! We will have a "No-Boo" Necklace available for purchase this year.

Accessibility, Health & Safety

Are motorized wheelchairs are permitted in haunted houses?

All of our haunted houses are ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible, but there are some tight corners to turn. We do ask that guests transfer to a standard (non-motorized) wheelchair to tour the haunted houses. Transfer chairs will be available at the entrance of each haunted house.

Are motorized wheelchairs available for rent at Howl-O-Scream Orlando?

Yes, both motorized (ECVs) and standard wheelchairs will be available for rental inside the Shop of Horrors gift shop located just inside the Howl-O-Scream entrance.

Does SeaWorld’s Ride Accessibility Program apply to Howl-O-Scream houses?
