Field Trip Programs

  • Ocean Discovery

    Ocean Discovery for Early Learners

    Introduce children to the world of the sea. This Instructional Field Trip program is for children in Preschool and Kindergarten, ages 2 to 5 years old.

    The program includes:

    • An educational animal presentation.
    • Self-guided viewing of SeaWorld's animal habitats. On the day of the visit, each adult Chaperone receives a Field Trip Guide to facilitate learning.
    • A Teacher's Guide is provided prior to your visit. This guide, filled with pre- and post-visit activities, provides additional educational value to your SeaWorld field trip.

    Hours are 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Minimum 10 participants, maximum 1 chaperone per student ratio.

  • K through 12 School Programs

    K-12 School Programs

    Designed to fit within your school day, SeaWorld's Instructional Field Trip Program provides your students with an unforgettable day of exploration as they connect to wildlife and the world we share.

    The program includes:

    • An educational animal presentation.
    • Self-guided viewing of SeaWorld's animal habitats. On the day of the visit, each adult Chaperone receives a Field Trip Guide to facilitate learning.
    • A Teacher's Guide is provided prior to your visit. The guide, filled with pre- and post-visit activities, provides additional educational value to your SeaWorld trip. Match curriculum for grades K-8 available by request.

    SeaWorld's Instructional Field Trip program supports California Science Content Standards.

    Special Education groups are invited to participate in the Instructional Field Trip program. Hours are 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Minimum 1 chaperone for every 10 students. Maximum 1 chaperone for every 3 students.

  • Home School

    Home School Field Trips

    Enhance your home education program with an Instructional Field Trip to SeaWorld. This program provides your students with an unforgettable day of exploration as they connect to wildlife and the world we share.

    The program includes:

    • An educational animal presentation.
    • Self-guided viewing of SeaWorld's animal habitats. On the day of the visit, each adult Chaperone receives a Field Trip Guide to facilitate learning.
    • A Science Activity Guide is provided prior to your visit. This guide provides additional education value to your SeaWorld field trip.

    SeaWorld's Instructional Field Trip program supports California Science Content Standards.

  • Youth Full Day

    Youth Full Day Program

    Do you have a youth group that would like to spend the day at SeaWorld? This flexible, all-day program allows groups to explore the park at their own pace. Groups of 15 or more participants receive 15% off SeaWorld general admission prices. For reservations or information please call (619) 222-4SEA.

    Annual Passes and Fun Cards are accepted as payment for the Youth Full Day Program. Blackout date rules apply to Fun Card admission.

    Youth Program participants may download and use these educational resources:

    • A Field Trip Guide to facilitate learning.
    • A Teacher's Guide is provided prior to your visit. This guide, filled with pre- and post-visit activities, provides additional educational value to your SeaWorld field trip.
  • Instructional Filed Trip Program Pricing

    Instructional Field Trip Program

    Cost is $6.25 per person. Students, chaperones and teachers pay the same low rate. The program is free for Annual Pass and Fun Card members.

    Full Day Instructional Field Trip Program - Make the most of your time as you combine animals, shows, rides and education for a one-of-a-kind day at SeaWorld. 

    Cost is $32 per person for San Diego County school program participants. The program is free for Annual Pass and Fun Card members. 
    Non-San Diego County schools recieve a reduced admission fee of $52 per person for an all-day field trip that includes shows, rides and attractions. 

In-Depth School Tour

  • Tour Overview

    For reservations or information, please call (619) 222-4SEA.

    Add a one-hour guided tour to your field trip program. In-Depth Tour groups are required to have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 participants.

    The SeaWorld In-Depth Tour includes:

    • An educational animal presentation 
    • A Science Activity Guide provided prior to your visit 
    • A SeaWorld Field Trip Guide to facilitate learning
    • a 60 minute visit to animal exhibits that may include behind-the-scenes areas (subject to availability)

    • Instructional Field Trips and In-Depth Tours are offered on select dates October through June.
  • Pricing

    In-Depth Tour Program

    $21.25 per person (includes the $6.25 Education Program Fee).
    $15 for Annual Pass members or Fun Card members.
    Students, chaperones and teachers pay the same fee.

    In-Depth Tour Program & Full Day at the Park 

    $47 fee per person for San Diego County School program participants.
    Non-San Diego County Schools receive a reduced admission fee of $67 per person for a full day In-Depth Tour program that includes shows, rides and attractions.
    $15 fee for Annual Pass members or Fun Card members.

    Passports and Fun Cards are not accepted as payment for In-Depth Tours. Education rates are available only by advance reservation and apply only to school groups of 10 or more paying participants. Prices are subject to change.
