Educational & Fun School Field Trips
Our Educational Field Trip Experience provides your students with an unforgettable morning seeing various animals in their habitats, such as killer whales, penguins, walruses, and endangered sea turtles.

Field Trips Include:

 

  • Animal Habitats: Visit all our animal exhibits and aquariums on a self-guided tour.
  • Public Animal Presentation: Choice of one, depending on availability.

K through 12 School Programs

K-12 School Programs

Designed to fit within your school day. Explore our exhibits and aquariums on a self-guided tour, and connect to wildlife and the world we share by attending one of our public animal presentations.

The program includes:

• Self-guided viewing of SeaWorld's animal habitats
• Choice of public animal presentation (choices depend on timing and seasonal availability)
• Choice of one ride (excluding Skyride and Skytower, depending on availability)
• Download a Teacher’s Guide, filled with pre- and post-visit activities, providing additional educational value to your SeaWorld trip

SeaWorld's Instructional Field Trip program supports California Science Content Standards.

Special Education groups are invited to participate in the Instructional Field Trip program.

Hours are 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Ratios: Minimum 1 chaperone for every 10 students. 2nd Grade - 12th Grade, maximum 1 chaperone for every 3 students. Special needs students, preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade, maximum 1 chaperone per student.

Home School Field Trips

The program includes:

Instructional Field Trip Program Pricing

Half-Day Field Trip Program:

10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Cost is $8 per person. Students, chaperones and teachers pay the same low rate.

Half day field trip includes choice of one public presentation (depending on timing and seasonal availability), and choice of one ride (excluding Skytower and Skyride).

 

Full Day Field Trip Program:

10:30 a.m. until park closing

Make the most of your time as you combine animals, shows, rides (excluding Skytower and Skyride), and education for a one-of-a-kind day at SeaWorld.

$48 per person for San Diego County schools.

$60 per person for schools outside San Diego County.

Annual Pass Members (Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Fun Cards) get free admission to our school field trip program. Must present valid pass at entrance.
