Meet Our Newest Additions: Dolphin Calves Jupiter & Phin!
We’re thrilled to welcome two healthy male bottlenose dolphin calves, Jupiter and Phin, to the SeaWorld San Diego family! Their arrival marks an exciting milestone for our long-standing dolphin program, which has successfully supported multiple generations of dolphins under the expert care of our animal care specialists.
Born in late 2024 and early 2025, Jupiter and Phin are flourishing under the watchful care of their first-time mothers, Corona and Coco. The calves are currently nursing, growing rapidly, and already displaying early signs of curiosity and social bonding—important developmental behaviors that indicate they’re thriving in their environment.
Joining rescued calves Chance and Cardiff, Jupiter and Phin help make 2025 an unforgettable year for guests of all ages. Come see these playful, curious newcomers and learn more about how we care for and protect these incredible marine mammals every day.
Meet Chance & Cardiff
Two rescued dolphin calves who were rehabilitated and given a second chance at life in early 2024.
Cardiff was rescued from Cardiff Beach with a fractured jaw and head trauma when he was just a few months old. After extensive care from SeaWorld’s Rescue Team, he made a full recovery but was deemed non-releasable by NOAA due to his age and condition.
Shortly after, Chance was found abandoned and in critical condition in the salt flats of South San Diego Bay. Following a successful rehabilitation, he now thrives at the park. Their stories are a testament to the power of rescue, rehabilitation, and compassionate care.
Come visit these incredible dolphins and witness the remarkable journey of resilience, growth, and new beginnings—only at SeaWorld San Diego.
