Riptide Rescue | SeaWorld San Antonio

Let’s go save some sea turtles! This classic spinner ride delivers an adventure filled with action as well as heart. As a rider, you’ll venture out in speedy Sea Rescue boats, or ‘gondolas’, that soar through the skies on a simulated sea turtle rescue mission.

After strapping in, the ride’s three mid-flying arms will send you whirling, swooping and diving in defense of one of the ocean’s most endangered and beloved species. And because each of Riptide Rescue’s 12 gondolas seats two riders, you can bring a friend on your quest to conquer your fear of heights while developing a greater appreciation for the majestic sea turtle.

Located near the Turtle Reef section of our park, Riptide Rescue is part of SeaWorld San Antonio’s latest effort to highlight the plight of endangered sea turtles in the wild. More than a heart-pounding joyride, Riptide Rescue is designed to inspire current and future generations to protect our beloved marine animals and their habitats.

All guests must meet the minimum 45” height requirement.

Mobility-impaired guests should enter through the exit and continue up the exit ramp to the unloading platform. Please see a team member for assistance with loading instructions. All guests, including those with disabilities or use a wheelchair must be able to transfer into and out of the ride vehicle by themselves or with the assistance of a member of their party. One additional guest may accompany the guest requiring special access.
