Buckets of Fun at Walkabout Waters Water PlaygroundFebruary 24, 2020
Looking for a summer splash pad for your kids? With water slides, playgrounds, splash pools, and lazy rivers, Aquatica San Diego is sure to become your family’s new favorite swimming hole.
At 4 stories tall, Walkabout Waters is a beacon of fun for all families who visit Aquatica San Diego. Inspired by the walkabout tradition from down under, this attraction is one of the largest in our park - seriously, you can spot it on our park map from a mile away!
Walkabout Waters is an interactive kid’s playground boasting water geysers, jets, slides, hoses, and a 500-gallon bucket of water that tips over every 5 minutes, drenching everyone in reach. Spanning 15,000 square feet of our park, this colorful array of obstacles has something to offer every little adventurer. One of the most highly-anticipated attractions for kids is our 60-foot rain fortress, a cascading waterfall in the heart of Walkabout Waters.
Kids under 42” must be accompanied by an adult to play in this splash zone, but that just makes for full-family fun! Both kids and adults of all ages can enjoy the watery obstacles, thrilling slides, and surprising water geysers Walkabout Waters has to offer!
Another kid favorite at Aquatica is Loggerhead Lane: hop on your own tube or swim on your own down 1,200 feet of tropical landscape, enhanced with misters and tunnel jets. Then head over for a swim in Slippidy Dippidy, a splash pool for kids, featuring an unforgettable waterfall.
