Argentinian Flavors Come to Seven Seas San Diego
Known for the sensual tango, diverse sceneries such as Tierra del Fuego in Patagonia, and its world-class cuisine, Argentina is amazing. Now it’s your chance to taste the wonders of Argentina with our new Vegetarian Empanada! It is filled with potatoes, poblano peppers, garlic, and the one and only chimichurri. Did you know the word empanada comes from the Spanish word empanar, which means “to bread?” It has been said that empanadas originated in Argentina, but then again, many Latin-American countries lay claim to the food’s origins; we will let you be the judge after you taste it! There are many different styles of Argentine empanadas such as Empanadas Salteñas, produced in the Salta Province of Argentina, which aren’t made with any oils. An Empanadas’ beef tends to be spicy, and you can often find mixed into it red peppers, green onions, eggs, and potato. You can find more delectable Argentine dishes at our booth located near the Nautilus Pavilion.
