Aquatica San Diego's Final SeasonMarch 10, 2020
It’s almost closing time, folks. Aquatica San Diego will be transforming into a new park next year, which means we’re ramping up for our final season this spring. So, let’s send off our iconic San Diego waterpark with a celebration of its greatest hits. Here are some experiences that have made our waterpark a great vacation destination for families far and wide.
Slides for Days
You can’t visit Aquatica San Diego without flying down the Taumata Racer on a toboggan. Named after a famous New Zealand landmark, Taumata Racer is a high-speed slide with a competitive side. See who makes it to the bottom of this 357-food slide first.
Another family classic is the Walhalla Wave, where your crew hops in a family-sized raft and rides down the 78-foot slide together. You can get a similar thrill from Woohoo Falls, Tassie’s Twister, and the Kiwi Curl.
Playtime in Paradise
The variety of slides, pools, and kids’ play areas has made Aquatica a family-favorite waterpark over the years. Walkabout Waters is a 4-story high, interactive water playground, complete with slides, hoses, jets, water geysers, and more. And if you’re wondering what that giant bucket is, just wait a few minutes and you’ll see it dump 500-gallons of water on all who play underneath.
