SeaWorld® Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival offers a lineup of delicious dishes unique to the markets that can only be found during this event.

These decadent snacks are too good not to taste year-round, so we asked Chef Hector to share some of his favorite recipes from the new markets so that you could try them at home.

    Grilled Cheese Pound Cake

  • Grilled Cheese Pound Cake with Cheddar Cheese and Raspberry Sauce

    Serves 2


    4 oz. pre-made pound cake
    2 slices white cheddar cheese (approxiamately 1 0z. each)
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 pint fresh raspberries
    2 tablespoons rasberry preserves
    2 tablespoons sugar


    In a small bowl, blend fresh raspberries, preserves, and sugar until smooth and set aside. Bring a hot griddle or pan up to medium-high heat and melt 1 Tbsp. butter on the surface. Slice pound cake into 4 slices each approx. 3/4" thick. Once the butter has melted, place one piece of pound cake on the girddle, then layer with one slice of white cheddar cheese and finish the sandwich by adding the second pound cake slice. Cook until golden brown, approximately 3-4 minutes each side. Serve with raspberry sauce spooned over completed sandwish
