Killer Whale Up-Close Tour Makes Summer Learning FunJuly 20, 2017
Who said learning needs to take a summer vacation? It certainly doesn’t at SeaWorld Orlando with our amazing lineup of guided animal experiences that take place daily. The park’s new Killer Whale Up-Close Tour debuted this month and we're excited to share this experience with you. For the first time ever, guests can truly get closer than ever before to these majestic killer whales.
After checking in with a friendly SeaWorld guide at the front of the park, your entire group will head to Shamu Stadium for your exclusive experience. When the tour begins, you will learn fun facts about the Orcinus orca species, including the defining features of the different types of killer whales, where their natural habitats are found, how much food they each day and how our trainers work alongside the whales. From there, small groups of 4-5 people pair up with an individual whale and trainer. This is where you and your family can discuss the killer whales' individual personalities, the trainers’ day-to-day experiences and just about anything you can think of. Everyone’s favorite part of the tour is the chance to then try their hand at a mini-training session with one of the killer whales.
The tour wraps up with an additional Q&A session with trainers, an overview of the whales’ healthcare and feeding habits, and a demonstration of a voluntary husbandry session. Throughout the entire tour, everyone can take personal photos of their experiences to help forever preserve the memory of their one-of-a-kind tour.
The Killer Whale Up-Close Tour begins daily at 10:00 a.m. Space is limited, so make your reservation online today.
